As we gear up for Father’s Day, we couldn’t help but think of our fathers: Chuck Schilling and Todd VanGundy. When asked of her father, co-owner Harmony VanGundy said he is a lover of tennis, basketball, the Deamon Deacons, and her. No matter what, Harmony said, “he’s always supported my dreams and goals.” It turns out he’s the reason she learned to play tennis and piano. Who knew?!?
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Todd, father of co-owner and brewmaster, Ian VanGundy, for all the blood, sweat and tears he shed over the last several decades raising Ian with his lovely wife: Ian’s mom, Michelle. Most notably, Todd showed up every day of the buildout to help his son achieve his dream of owning a brewery. As Father’s Day nears, we couldn’t help but give the man with the plan, the muscle, and the heart a shout-out. Thank you Todd for helping Blackbird Brewery be what it is today; we couldn’t have done it without you!

Having grown up in Maryland, their mission is to bring convenient, fresh, high-quality seafood to your event and family table.
