It’s the season of giving and we’re all about it at Blackbird Brewery! This month, we are collecting blood donations for the Blood Connection, canned goods for the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry, and participants for a yoga flow where 100% of proceeds go to our local food bank. With so many ways to contribute, there’s no reason you can’t join us in giving back. Read on to learn how you can get involved!
Blood Drive 11/14 3:00-8:00 PM
This month, we’re highlighting 8-year-old Charlie Galuten. Charlie was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018 when he was just 3-1/2 years old. He received nine units of blood and 15 unites of platelets in the first 10 months of treatment alone. His mother Jill received 6 units of blood during his childbirth. To think this sweet boy wouldn’t be here today without the sacrificial blood donations made by people just like you in his surrounding community! We know it’s a lot to ask, but if you can, please be a hero! Charlie, his mother, your neighbor, your spouse, even your own child: you never know whose life you could save!
Canned Food Drive 11/19-11/26
We’re collecting non-perishable foods 11/19-26 for the Tri Area Ministry Food Pantry. The Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry provides food and personal hygiene products to members of OUR community that are in need. Their mission is to Stop Hunger and Feed Hope. In 2022 alone, they distributed 1,358,100 pounds of food to 10,090 families and 39,140 individuals! Blackbird Brewery family, let’s overwhelm this amazing organization with our donations!
Our canned food drive kicks off during Friendsgiving Potluck with Unita Yoga 10:30 Sunday 11/19. Bring 5 cans to receive a prize (more details below)!
