It’s almost time for one of Wake Forest’s most cherished traditions—and Blackbird Brewery is once again your front-row seat to all the red, white, and blue revelry. Join us on Wednesday, July 3rd for a day packed with patriotic energy, cold drinks, live music, sizzling brats, and the very best view of the Town of Wake Forest’s spectacular fireworks display.
July 3rd From 1-10 PM | Fireworks at 9:30 PM
Whether you’re wrangling the kids or catching up with friends, our beer garden transforms into the perfect backdrop for summer memories in the making. This is more than a party—it’s a hometown celebration of freedom, community, and summertime magic.
Fireworks + Freedom = An Unforgettable Night
The Town of Wake Forest fireworks are scheduled to light up the sky at 9:30 PM sharp, and our beer garden and parking lot offer some of the best views around. Across the street, Heritage High School will host its own Independence Day Celebration beginning at 5:30 PM—feel free to wander over and enjoy both events throughout the evening.
The tradition of fireworks on the Fourth dates all the way back to 1777, when the skies above Philadelphia first sparkled in honor of American independence. 248 years later, we’re still lighting up the night—and you’re invited to be part of it.
Cold Drinks All Day Long
Our outdoor beer tent will be pouring from 1-10 PM with something for everyone:
- Signature Blackbird brews
- Craft cider and seltzers
- Refreshing non-alcoholic options
Please note: no outside drinks allowed, but we’ve got all your celebration—and hydration—needs covered.
Fishin’ Shrimp’s 3rd of July Brats | 4–8 PM
Back by popular demand! Our friends at Fishin’ Shrimp will be grilling up their famous brat baskets, served with chips and piled high with all your favorite toppings: peppers, onions, jalapeños, and more. Grab a pint, find a shady spot, and enjoy the kind of summer evening that feels like a small-town dream.
Fun fact: Americans consume 155 million hot dogs on July 4th each year. So let’s do our patriotic duty—and eat a brat or two!
Live Music Lineup | 4–9 PM
No celebration is complete without a killer soundtrack. Get ready to dance, sway, or simply soak it all in:
- Dee Jay Jamie | 4–6 PM
- Adam Lee Decker | 6–9 PM
From high-energy beats to feel-good anthems, the music will carry us straight into the fireworks show.
Sparklers & Glowsticks
Light up the night your way! We’ll be selling sparklers and glowsticks to add a little extra shimmer to your celebration. Quantities are limited, so snag yours early.
Bird’s Nest at Blackbird – Walk-In Service
Craving something a little more refined? Our cozy cocktail bar, The Bird’s Nest, will be open from 3-10 PM with a splash of red, white, and blue flair. Enjoy a special patriotic cocktail menu, festive jello shots, and the relaxed ambiance of our 21+ indoor lounge.
No reservations needed—just come in, sip something extraordinary, and soak in the holiday vibe.
Important note: All drinks must be enjoyed where they’re poured. That means you cannot bring a drink poured in the Bird’s Nest over to Blackbird Brewery and vice versa. We appreciate your help in keeping our evening fun, safe, and compliant.
Parking Tips
Parking will be limited, and most spaces in our shopping center will be reserved. We highly recommend using a rideshare app for a smooth and stress-free arrival. Additional parking is available at Heritage High, Middle, and Elementary Schools.
