As we reached our anniversary, we felt an urge to shake things up and explore new horizons with our brews. So, we’re diving into a fresh adventure with our hazy IPAs, and we’re thrilled to share it with you. One of our regulars and haze guru, Steven Graham, recently went on a pilgrimage up north to the hallowed grounds of Tree House Brewing Company and other hype breweries in Massachusetts. Steven, ever the generous beer connoisseur, brought back some incredible brews that got our creative juices flowing.
For our first year, our hazies drew inspiration from some of the bigger, sweeter hazies we were finding in the mid-west. But after tasting these New England gems Stephen brought back, we were inspired by their light, soft, and pillowy character. They’re a bit drier, not as full-bodied as what we’ve been making. So, we decided to blend our usual hazy yeast with a Vermont yeast strain and mix in more flaked oats for a whole new experience.
The result? Our latest hazies are drier, lighter, and oh-so-pillowy. Check out the lineup:
Marmalade Sky – Hazy IPA
Our hazies from the past year were full-bodied, thicker IPAs. But with the NC humidity feeling like a wet towel, we wanted something more refreshing. By blending our British yeast with a famous Vermont strain, we’ve crafted a brew perfect for summer. Citra and Riwaka hops dance on a pillowy light body, delivering the citrus you love with a hint of New Zealand funk. 8.0% ABV.
There Is No Spoon – Hazy IPA
Dedicated to everyone who’s ever tried to bend reality with their mind, this hazy IPA is hopped with Neomexicanus Talus and HBC 586 for delightful peachy coconut vibes. Remember, there is no spoon—only yourself. 8.0% ABV.
Pay The Man – Hazy IPA
The third in our series of drier hazies with Vermont yeast, this one’s a product of constant tweaking to get the perfect body and haze level. We’re head over heels for Simcoe lately, so we went all in with 100% Simcoe hops. Do the work, enjoy the reward! 6.8% ABV.
Come by the brewery and give our new hazies a try. We can’t wait to hear what you think!
