Sneak Peek

As we gear up to celebrate another incredible year with all of you, we’re thrilled to announce that our upcoming Anniversary Party on April 27th is going to be an absolute blast from the past. We’re taking a trip down memory lane and bringing back some of the most beloved brews from our first year in business. Get ready for a month-long celebration that’s essentially a highlight reel of the incredible beers that have fueled our journey so far.

One of the stars of the show, Yellow Submarine, has already made its triumphant return. This fan favorite is back by popular demand, and we’re ensuring that it sticks around until the big day. However, just to be safe, we’re stashing away a couple of kegs to guarantee that no one misses out on this beloved brew.

Yellow Submarine Hazy IPA Beer & CanYellow Submarine Hazy IPA: We all live in a yellow submarine, navigating through a sea of hazy IPAs, and this one stands out from the crowd. Dive into a sensory adventure with this double dry-hopped masterpiece, bursting with Citra goodness. Crafted with a base of oat malt and London yeast, it boasts an opaque, creamy base that sets the stage for an explosion of juicy flavors. We dry-hopped mid-fermentation with Citra Cryo to capture those lush biotransformation characters from the yeast, then followed it up with a generous dose of hand-selected Citra T90s. Get ready to set sail on a flavor voyage like no other.

But the nostalgia doesn’t stop there. In the week leading up to the party, keep your eyes peeled for the re-release of two more classics:

Riwa-a-a-ka Hazy IPARiwa-a-a-ka Hazy IPA: Your server won’t know what you’re ordering if you don’t pronounce it right. There are a few options for malt base and yeast strain in a Hazy IPA. We’re calling this base “thicc boi” for the use of oat malt and British yeast which puts it on the opaque and creamy side. We threw New Zealand Riwaka hops in this one to deliver some funky NZ terroir and lemon-lime notes. Get down with the sickness.

Perry's Epiphany Can & BeerPerry’s Epiphany Hefeweizen: Classic German style wheat beer. 50% of this beer is made from wheat grown at Perry Family Farm in Rolesville four miles from the brewery and malted at Epiphany Craft Malt in Durham. Brewed the hard way, this went through five mash steps including two decoctions to get every bit of character these malts have to offer. Naturally carbonated and unfiltered.

On the day of the party, we’ll be unveiling even more brews to tantalize your taste buds:

Where I Belong Can & BeerWhere I Belong WC IPA: Modern, West Coast IPAs are one of our favorite styles. We went tried and true with the “holy trinity” hops of Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe. Fermented bone dry with balanced bitterness to produce clean, clear hop juice. If you had any doubts before, we are sure they’re gone. Blackbird is your home away from home and where I belong.

Gorlami Italian PilsnerGorlami Italian Pilsner: Whether you speak the best Italian (eye tal yun), 2nd best, or heck maybe even 3rd best Italian, this beer is made to put a little zip and zest in your step and may even make you want to waggle your hands when talking. It takes notes from and is crafted similarly to its brother, German Pilsner, but with lower IBUs and gets its own unique aroma from a dash and a chef’s kiss of Saphir and Spalter hops added post lagering. Saltui & Grazie for drinking this one heck of a fun beer.

No Si Mexican LagerNo Si Mexican Style Lager w/ Lime and Salt: Learning and speaking a new language is hard, even more so when you’ve imbibed on a few alcoholic beverages. For those bold enough to attempt said feats this beer is for you. We brewed a traditional style Mexican lager utilizing flaked Maize and Pilsner malt to keep it clean and simple. After fermentation and lagering for a few weeks, we then conditioned it on freshly squeezed lime juice and zest, as well as some Pink Himalayan sea salt. Refreshing waves of lime and hints of salt transport you back to warm sunny days. As a warning, this liquid vacation of a beer may increase your craving for chips and salsa.

But wait, there’s more excitement brewing! Brace yourselves for the unveiling of our latest creation: a brand-new, currently unnamed West Coast DIPA. This powerhouse of a brew is not for the faint of heart. Crafted with a blend of Citra, HBC 586, and Riwaka hops, it promises an explosion of tropical and citrus flavors with each sip. Brewed with Pilsner malt and inspired by the pale modern DIPAs from the West Coast, this beer is set to redefine boldness. Get ready to experience the highest ABV Westie we’ve ever produced, setting the bar higher than ever before. Keep your eyes peeled for updates as we prepare to unleash this beast at the Anniversary Party!
