February may have been a short month, but March is making up for it with a full flight of excitement at Blackbird Brewery! New beers? You bet. Live music? Of course. A pet photo contest that could make your four-legged friend famous? Absolutely. Plus, we’ve got owls, oysters, and off-site shenanigans that’ll keep your calendar packed. Grab a pint, mark your calendars, and let’s dive into everything happening this month at Blackbird!
New Beers This Month
Upcoming beers alert! Get ready for a mix of hop-forward hazies, rich malty brews, and crisp, refreshing lagers. Whether you’re in the mood for something juicy, roasty, or smooth, there’s a pint waiting for you. Check out what’s new on the horizon:
DISCO SNAILS HAZY PALE ALE – Ever wonder what’s inside a snail’s shell? A tiny disco ball, of course. While we can’t scientifically prove that, we can confirm that this hazy pale ale (5.4% ABV) is a citrusy, juicy jam session featuring El Dorado hops and Maui Nelson hop kief. It’s the perfect sip to boogie into spring.
BEAM ME UP SCOTTY – A Scottish Export Ale that’s malty, complex, and just what your inner amber ale lover craves. This brew (5.5% ABV) is what happens when we gather the best malts from our pantry and let them shine—think of it as our own version of a cooking challenge show, but way tastier.
THE NEXT HAZY IPA – No name yet, but we promise it’s loaded with Strata, Mosaic, and Citra hops. If you remember Pay The Man, this one is in the same family—a more hop-forward hazy that West Coast IPA fans will love.
THE HAZY AFTER THE NEXT HAZY IPA – Made with an abundance of Krush Cryo hops, this brew is a tropical dream. We got a hint of it in another IPA and knew we had to double down on that juicy goodness.
WEST COAST WITH CASHMERE – Cashmere hops were the star of our hop sensory day, and this batch is bringing something new to the table—citrusy, melony goodness, balanced with familiar Mosaic notes. It’s a fresh take on the West Coast style, and we’re excited for you to try it!
Returning Brew Favorites
LI’L SEBASTIAN – It’s not a pony, it’s a miniature horse! This light lager flips the script on Pilsners by focusing on malt rather than hops. Smooth, flavorful, and anything but tiny in taste.
GIRL YOU KNOW WIT’S TRUE – A Belgian wheat beer with orange peel and coriander, this one is for the real Witbier fans out there. (And if you don’t like Witbier… well, maybe give it another shot?) Named by our very own Kari, which makes it even more special, this brew took home gold at the 2023 US Open Beer Championship.

Patio Pups: A Friendly Reminder
We love seeing your four-legged drinking buddies, but let’s keep things friendly for everyone! Leashed dogs are always welcome on the patio and can even pop inside while you order. However, our beer garden can get very busy, especially with kids and crowds, so if your pup isn’t used to that kind of energy, we kindly ask you to consider how they might feel in the mix. We want everyone—two-legged and four-legged alike—to have a great time. Check out our beer garden policies here.
March is jam-packed, and we can’t wait to share every pour, tune, and toast with you. Grab your friends, raise a glass, and let’s make it a month to remember. See you at Blackbird!
