Silent Book Club

Bring your favorite book, grab a delicious cocktail, and enjoy some peaceful reading time in a cozy setting. Afterward, mingle with other book enthusiasts for some light conversation. It’s the perfect event for solo readers or small groups looking to connect over a shared love of literature.

Artist David Nies

David NiesThis month, we’re showcasing the incredible artwork of David Nies at both Birds Nest at Blackbird and Blackbird Brewery. David, originally from Chicago and now a resident of Wake Forest, creates stunning pieces ranging from wildlife and landscapes to portraits and holiday-themed art. Be sure to stop by and view his work before we transition to our Halloween-themed art in October. Tiki Night with Mikey and Jess

Mikey and Jess Join us for a tiki cocktail adventure with Mikey and Jess, who will guide you through the history and creation of classic tiki drinks. Tuesday, September 10th at 6:30PM in Birds Nest at Blackbird, you can enjoy a tasting of four cocktails, each inspired by the original founders of tiki, using the freshest ingredients. Farmers Market Hosted by The Family Bee’s-ness LLC

Support local agriculture and small businesses at our Farmers Market, hosted by The Family Bee’s-ness LLC, on Saturday, September 14th, from 4:30-7:30 PM. Browse a selection of grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, raw honey, elderberry syrup, soaps, and much more from local vendors. Enjoy a refreshing beer as you shop and discover a variety of unique, locally-made products.

Cook’s Mill Cocktail Class with Kelly Murphy

Blood Connection Blood Drive

Join us for a blood drive on September 17th from 3-8 PM in partnership with The Blood Connection. All donations during this event will support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and each donation can save up to three lives! Donors must be at least 16 years old (those aged 16 and 17 will need a permission slip, which will be available at the event), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, have a valid ID, and be in generally good health. Fermented Flow: A Yoga and Mimosas Event

Fermented FlowFind your inner peace with our yoga and mimosa event, Fermented Flow, on Saturday, September 21st from 10-11 AM. Rebekah Werner from Unita Yoga will lead a traditional one-hour vinyasa flow session in the brewery, followed by a refreshing mimosa. Bring your own food if you like, and enjoy a morning of mindfulness, movement, and community. All experience levels are welcome, and we have mats and blocks available for those who need them. As we move deeper into September, get ready for our Oktoberfest Celebration Saturday, September 28th, where we’ll be unveiling several new brews and bringing back some fan favorites. Here’s a taste of what’s to come:

  • Grodziskie: A historical Polish beer brewed with 100% oak-smoked wheat malt. Don’t let the smoky aroma fool you—this beer is surprisingly light and refreshing, perfect for the cooler days ahead.
  • Weizenbock: This full-bodied wheat beer brings a rich malt flavor that’s ideal for the season.
  • Festbier: We’ve updated our classic Festbier with a blend of malts that adds new depth while maintaining that beloved fall lager character.
  • Returning favorites like Kolsch, Perry’s Epiphany Hefeweizen, and Tuxedo at a Pool Party German Pilsner will also be back on tap, ensuring there’s a brew for every palate.
