Autumn is in full swing, and we are celebrating with fresh seasonal brews, festive flavors, and community-driven events all month long. From cozy pumpkin ales to tropical fruited sours, there’s something for every palate. Plus, we’re raising a glass to good causes, supporting local organizations and giving back to our neighbors. Whether you’re stopping by for a beer release, a fundraiser, or one of our returning favorites, November at Blackbird Brewery is all about community, flavor, and fun.
Beer Releases
Gourd of the Rings — Pumpkin Spiced Ale
This autumn-inspired ale pours a warm amber and carries the comforting flavors of fresh cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice. It’s smooth, approachable, and perfectly spiced for cozy fall afternoons and crisp evenings.
Skrt! Skrt! — Fruited Sour
“Skrt! Skrt!” is a vibrant fruited sour brewed with passionfruit, guava, and pineapple for a bright, tropical flavor. Depending on how the final balance comes together, it may also feature a touch of sea salt or vanilla to make the acidity even more approachable. This special release benefits Kari Hoover, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Pretty In Pink Foundation, supporting North Carolina breast cancer patients in need of lifesaving care.
Munich Dunkel — Amber Lager
Our Munich Dunkel is a classic Bavarian-style lager that’s malty, smooth, and effortlessly drinkable. It pours a deep amber and carries notes of toasted bread, caramel, and a hint of cocoa. This single-decocted brew was patiently lagered for a clean, crisp finish. It’s the kind of beer you can enjoy without feeling weighed down.
Boiler Room Boyz — West Coast IPA
Boiler Room Boyz is a West Coast IPA born from years of friendship, hard work, and a few very hot warehouse shifts. It was born from a collaboration with Mikey’s longtime friend Brody, the owner and head brewer at Brass Collar Brewing Company. Brewed with Krush cryo hops in the fermentor and an unconventional Kölsch yeast, it bursts with tropical fruit aromas before finishing dry and punchy. A final dry-hop with Strata and Citra hops adds bright citrus notes and a touch of West Coast dank, making this IPA both bold and drinkable.
El Rey Dorado — Hazy IPA
El Rey Dorado, or “The Golden King,” is a hazy IPA brewed with the same malt base as our fan-favorite Yellow Submarine. It is dry-hopped with both traditional and cryo El Dorado hops, which bring out soft, candied orange flavors and a silky, smooth texture. This beer is bright, juicy, and perfectly balanced for anyone who loves a flavorful hazy IPA.
Disco Snails — Hazy Pale Ale
Disco Snails is a hazy pale ale that brings funk and flavor in every sip. Light and bright, it features El Dorado hops and Maui Nelson Hop Kief, giving it citrusy, tropical notes and a smooth, easy-drinking mouthfeel. Inside every snail shell is a tiny disco ball, and this beer proves that the party isn’t over—it just got smaller and funkier.
Yellow Submarine — Hazy IPA
Yellow Submarine is a creamy, hazy IPA that invites you to dive into waves of citrus and tropical fruit. We double dry-hop it with Citra Cryo and Citra T90 hops, while oat malt and London yeast create a soft, opaque base. The result is a juicy, full-bodied IPA with lush aromatics and a smooth finish that’s perfect for hazy IPA enthusiasts.
Coming Soon
Two new beers—a crisp Cold IPA and a smooth Mexican Amber—will also be making their debut this season, each bringing a fresh twist to the taproom lineup.
Upcoming Events
November 1st–9th: Pretty in Pink Fundraiser
This November, we’re celebrating community, strength, and hope. From November 1–9, we will donate a portion of proceeds from every pint of Skrt! Skrt!—brewed in honor of our close friend, Kari Hoover—to the Pretty In Pink Foundation, a North Carolina nonprofit providing financial assistance for breast cancer patients who are uninsured or under-insured. Then, on November 8th (4:30–7:30 PM), join us for a special Pretty In Pink pop-up fundraiser during our monthly Farmers Market with The Family Bee’s-ness LLC. Stop by to meet the foundation’s team, enjoy the local market atmosphere, and help us support an incredible cause that provides care, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.

To help support their efforts, we’re proud to host a canned food drive in partnership with Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry. We’re inviting our community to bring non-perishable food donations to the taproom from November 1st–15th.
