As we take a moment to pause and reflect, one thing shines brightest in our hearts—you. Blackbird Brewery wouldn’t be the vibrant, welcoming place it is today without the incredible people who make it all possible.
To our cherished customers, the craft beer enthusiasts, and the friends who bring their laughter, stories, and energy to our taproom—thank you. Whether you’ve been with us since our very first pour or recently discovered our brews, your enthusiasm and loyalty are the reason we wake up every day excited to create something special. Every smile, every cheer, and every shared story at our taproom reminds us why we do what we do. You’ve made this brewery a home.
To our hardworking and passionate team, you are the soul of Blackbird Brewery. Your dedication, creativity, and love for what we do together is truly inspiring. Every interaction and idea you bring to life fills this space with magic. Thank you for your tireless commitment to crafting not just beer but memories.
To the local community, whose embrace of our vision has been nothing short of amazing—thank you for letting us be a part of your lives. Whether it’s stopping by for a quick drink, attending one of our events, or simply sharing kind words about our brews, your encouragement motivates us to keep innovating and crafting beers you’ll love.
From the deepest depths of our gratitude, thank you for making Blackbird Brewery your gathering place, your celebration spot, your second home. You mean everything to us, and we can’t wait to share more laughs, cheers, and memories with you in the years to come.
Kari’s Battle Continues: How We Can Help
Kari has been a pillar of the Wake Forest community—a loving mom, inspiring teacher, and our own cherished bartender whose warmth has touched so many lives. At just 40, Kari was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC), and for the past seven years, she has faced cancer with unparalleled strength and courage. Despite enduring surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy, the cancer returned this year, and this week brought devastating news.
Kari is now facing the hardest chapter of her journey, as her health has taken a heartbreaking turn. Despite her incredible strength and the unwavering love of those around her, her condition has worsened, and the future remains uncertain. For now, we ask for privacy for Kari and her family as they navigate this difficult time.
A GoFundMe has been created to ease the financial burden of mounting medical expenses, allowing Kari and her family to focus on what matters most—each other. Every donation, big or small, is a testament to the love and support surrounding Kari and her three amazing children, Dylan, Caiden, and Sawyer. Please share this fundraiser with anyone who knows and loves Kari and may wish to support her. Thank you for your generosity, love, and prayers—it means the world to Kari and all who cherish her.

Last Call to Participate in a Toy Drive for Kids in Candler, NC: Hurricane Recovery Assistance
This is your final chance to participate in a special fundraising campaign to support Candler Elementary School and Hominy Baptist Church in their mission to provide gifts for 20 families impacted by the hurricane. Our co-founder, Harmony VanGundy, has strong ties to this community, having spent her childhood at Candler Elementary as both a student and a teacher’s kid. Now, we are joining together to help these families recover and make their holiday season a little brighter by collecting funds to purchase toys and gift cards for these families. Next Tuesday, Harmony and her daughter will shop for the gifts and deliver them to the church over Thanksgiving week. Our goal is to cover all 20 families, and we need your help to make that happen! If you can, please donate today. Gift cards purchased online (including Amazon gift cards) can be sent to harmony@blackbirdbeer.com. This is the last call to help us bring some holiday cheer to these families. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact. Thank you for your support!
