Supporting Western NC
Our hearts go out to our family and friends in the Western part of our state. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support thus far; it has been incredibly moving to see our community coming together to help those in need! Stay tuned for more collection dates down the road. Beer Update
In celebration of the spooky season, we’re brewing up a couple of candy-inspired porters this year at a more approachable ABV. We’re thrilled with the Fanum Tax recipe—its low ABV, chocolatey flavor, subdued roast, and smooth, creamy body have us wanting more! We’ll be splitting our next batch between two small tanks: one will feature coconut and toasted almond, while the other will indulge your sweet tooth with chocolate peanut butter marshmallow. Look for these treats to be released in mid-October!

Halloween Events
Boos and Brews Family Fun Day: October 20th, 12-5 PM
Join us for a frightfully fun Halloween celebration! Enjoy a photo shoot with Kearsten Leder Photography from 12-3 PM, then get ready for a magical show by Magician Michael Douglas from 3-5 PM. Activities include pumpkin decorating, face painting, a kids’ art corner, and refreshing apple cider (spiked or non-alcoholic)!
Artisan Wine Tasting in the Taproom: October 23rd, 6:30-8:30 PM
Sample four carefully selected wines in a stylishly spooky Halloween setting—perfect for seasoned wine lovers and newcomers alike!
Adults-Only Halloween Party: October 26th 7-11 PM
Live music, lots of booze, costume contests, and no kids allowed. Although this is likely all you need to know, we’ll announce more details soon!

- Old Forester Bourbon Night @Bird’s Nest at Blackbird: October 10th, 6:30-8:30 PM: Toast in style with a cocktail class spotlighting the iconic Old Forester Bourbon. This is a ticketed event; click here to reserve your spot!
- Cynergy Fit Pop Up Workout Saturday, October 12th 11:00 AM-12:00 PM: Free workout for all! Don’t be shy; come out and give it a try!
- Farmers Market hosted by The Family Bee’s-ness LLC: October 12th, 4:30-7:30 PM: Shop local farmers and artisans while enjoying great beer! The Family Bee’s-ness LLC will feature grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, raw honey, Elderberry syrup, and more.
- Cathead Distillery Event @Bird’s Nest at Blackbird: October 16th, 6:30-8:30 PM: Join us for a night with Cathead Distillery, where you can savor expertly mixed cocktails and learn about this unique distillery. Ticket info to follow!
- Bravo Tango VetFest Afterparty: October 19th, Noon-Close: Join us after VetFest, which honors our heroes with local veteran service organizations and businesses. We’ll accept donations to support this great cause while enjoying food from Wooden Apple NC and live music from Just Us.
- Wooden Apple NC – Eastern European Food Pop-Up: October 19th, 2:00-8:00 PM: Experience a culinary adventure through Eastern European cuisine, perfectly paired with our refreshing beers.
