Countdown to Oktoberfest: Unveiling Five German-Style Beers for the Big Day

Weizenbock We’ve been hard at work brewing up something special for our biggest event of the year—Oktoberfest! This year, we’re rolling out a lineup of authentic German-style beers that capture the essence of the season. Whether you’re into smoky brews, malty wheat beers, or crisp classics, we’ve got a beer for everyone. The brewery has been buzzing as we prepare to release three brand-new beers just in time for the festivities: Weizenbock, Grodziskie, and Festbier. Along with the return of some fan favorites, there’s no shortage of incredible beer to enjoy during the event.

Debuting for Oktoberfest

We’re excited to debut our Weizenbock, a strong, malty German wheat beer that’s perfect for cooler fall weather. With a rich, full-bodied profile and deep amber to brown color, this beer brings out complex flavors of sweet malt, banana, clove, and dark fruits like raisins and plums. At 6.5% to 9% ABV, Weizenbock is hearty and warming, with a hint of spice from the yeast that ties all the flavors together. It’s a must-try for those who love big, bold beers that offer a full, satisfying experience.

Another new addition is our Grodziskie, a Polish-style beer that fits right in with the Oktoberfest lineup. This light, 4% ABV beer packs a punch of oak-smoked flavor, thanks to 100% oak-smoked wheat malt from Germany. The result is a clear, golden beer with high carbonation, low hop bitterness, and a distinct smoky aroma that’s balanced by a dry, crisp finish. While the smoke is prominent, the beer drinks light and refreshing, making it a unique option for those looking to try something different but still incredibly drinkable.

And of course, we couldn’t forget our Festbier, brewed especially for this event. This year’s version features a blend of Wired and Pilsner malts, along with Vienna and Munich malts for a richer, heartier flavor. A touch of Canadian malt adds depth, giving this golden beer a full, classic fall malt aroma. With its slightly lighter color compared to last year’s, this 5.5% ABV Festbier is the perfect way to toast the season. It’s smooth, balanced, and brings all the cozy vibes of autumn into one glass.

Beloved Brews Back on Tap

In addition to these new releases, we’ll be pouring some of our beloved German-style beers that have become crowd favorites. Our Kolsch is light and crisp, with subtle stone fruit and salt cracker aromas, offering a refreshing take on a classic German ale. At 4.5% ABV, it’s perfect for easy sipping throughout the day.

Our Perry’s Epiphany Hefeweizen is a local standout, brewed with 50% wheat from Perry Family Farm, just four miles away from the brewery. Naturally carbonated and unfiltered, this 4.8% ABV wheat beer delivers classic flavors with a smooth, refreshing finish, making it a staple in our lineup.

While the beer is the star of the show, we’ve got plenty more to enjoy during Oktoberfest. Fishin’ Shrimp will be serving up a delicious spread of oysters, brats, and potato salad all day, making sure you have the perfect pairings for your beer.
