F**K Cancer, Let’s Party! A 90s Prom Fundraiser at Bird’s Nest at Blackbird

Put on your best 90s prom attire and get ready to dance at our “F**K Cancer, Let’s Party – 90s Prom Fundraiser for Kari!” We’re gathering to support Kari Hoover, one of Blackbird Brewery’s original bartenders, a dedicated elementary school teacher, and a proud mother of three, as she bravely faces a second fight with cancer. A well-known figure in the Wake Forest restaurant scene, Kari beat breast cancer once, and she’s now undergoing a new round of treatments. With medical expenses mounting, this 90s-themed prom night aims to bring our community together to help ease her financial burden.

Join us on November 30 for an evening filled with all the 90s favorites, from TLC to Biggie, Tupac, and Janet! Enjoy some fun 90s-inspired bites, a special cocktail menu, and of course, Blackbird beers as we raise a glass to say F* Cancer and celebrate together.

Come solo, with a partner, or with friends, and relive prom night in full 90s style—prom attire is highly encouraged!

Tickets include two drink tickets, food, and a night of music and dancing. A portion of ticket sales will support Kari’s medical expenses, with additional opportunities to contribute on-site.
