They Kilt It – Scottish-style Amber Ale

This one’s designed to showcase some quality kilned malts.  We put together five crystal malts from England and Belgium for their caramel and dark fruit flavors and threw in a couple toasted malts too.  We did a rough and dirty step mash with a single decoction to get a saturated depth to the flavor with a good amount of sweetness and then gave it a cold and neutral fermentation to let the malts shine.
