Landtoberfest – Golden Lager

Brewed with WadeFest malt, a tribute to our friend Dan Wade from Wooden Robot Brewery. Epiphany Craft Malt in Durham used NC barley to replicate German Ursprung festmalt. The dream began when the owner of Epiphany and Dan visited Germany, and with Dan’s love for local he wanted to take on the project of bringing Festbier home with 100% local malt. A year later before it came to fruition, Dan fell from his brewery roof and passed away. Epiphany finally released it this year in his honor. Avalon winter barley brings a complex, multigrain quality to this festbier which we hopped with Perle and lagered in horizontal tanks for 10 weeks. 5.9% ABV
